From the Woods

Est. 2011

From The Woods - est. 2011 Singapore - is the curatorial atelier of John Z.W. Tung. It operates as an integrated platform for the conceptualisation, development, and execution of curatorial and artistic projects. The atelier works across the full lifecycle of exhibitions—from curatorial direction and spatial planning to artwork production and installation—delivering cohesive, end-to-end solutions for institutional and private clients.

In parallel, the team develops public-facing programmes, including workshops, talks, and lectures, that extend the reach of its projects. Its practice brings together curatorial thinking and technical production, enabling ideas to be realised as considered spatial and experiential outcomes across a range of formats and scales.

From the Woods has played a critical role in the execution of exhibitions beyond Singapore, including Austria, Thailand, Japan, India, amongst others.
